Programs and Strategies
For 15 years B2F has housed men and women coming home from prison. B2F has been in four different locations. Due to the Covid pandemic, B2F rebranded their housing component.
B2F also assists men and women in obtaining affordable housing in south suburbs.
Our Target clients
Clients are adults (men and women) who are due to return from prison in 9-12 months and who want to make a change. They need to show initiative to learn and commit to working with us as we do our best to figure out what they need to resurface safely.
Our Services
Bridge to Freedom is a transitional supportive housing program that walks with the inmate starting one year before release through two years after release.
Before release, it is important to develop a healthy sense of identity and purpose along with a practical plan for reaching that destiny.
After release, it is the live-in program that creates a safe atmosphere of care within a culture of honor so necessary for true healing and transformation to occur.
Bridge to Freedom has to be a collaborative effort. The services required to help men and women re-enter society from incarceration are many and varied:
-Physical health care
-Mental health care
-Substance abuse recovery
-Children & families- both nuclear & extended
-Education & vocational training
-Apprenticeships and work experience
-Emotional, social, and spiritual development
